Racing on a Budget

Racing on a Budget

Have you ever wanted to go to a NASCAR race at Michigan International Raceway or Chicagoland Speedway? Don't have the time or money for those places? I am going to let you in on a little secret and it is right here in Grand Rapid's back yard. It is the ARCA race each July at the Berlin raceway. What is ARCA you ask. ARCA which stands for Automobile Racing Club Of America. It a stock car series with cars that resemble NASCAR cars. In fact most of the cars used in this series are former NASCAR cars. The drivers are a very diverse group of races from young divers trying to make a name for themselves to current NASCAR Camping World Truck series drivers to sons and grandsons of NASCAR drivers and owners to the ageless 76 year old 1966 NASCAR rookie of the year James Hylton.
