Silver Line add-on, just one perk of 2011 millage | News
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- A new bus line for Grand Rapids transportation is set to open up thanks to the millage that passed in 2011.
The tax is generating $15 million each year, and will do so for the next five years. The tax plan will provide more funding for the Rapid Transit System services.
The new Silver Line would run down Division Street from the Grand Rapids Central Business District to 60th Street.
Monday night, the City of Wyoming is holding a "Walkability Meeting" for the public. It will start at 5:30 p.m. in the Godwin Heights High School auditorium. Organizers will be on hand to explain the plan and answer any questions the public might have.
If all goes according to plan, the high-speed Silver Line bus service will open in two years.
