Home Repair Assistance | News
Does your home need improvements? You may be eligible to obtain an affordable home improvement loan through one of the City of Wyoming's Homeowner Housing Rehabilitation Programs. Depending on total household size and income, home owners may be eligible for one of two programs. Funding for both programs are made available through the Federal Community Development Block Grants Funds.
The first program offers a deferred loan to homeowners in a lower income bracket and only requires repayment of the loan at the time the property is sold or transferred. The second program, a low interest loan, targets low to moderate income households and provides a loan at 3-percent interest for a term up to 15 years.
Both programs offer up to $15,000 to home owners and focus on addressing specific home improvements, including electrical, plumbing, heating and structural repairs, among other options. Most importantly, these programs help address housing issues that owners might otherwise not have the resources to fix.
For more information on the details of these programs, please contact the City of Wyoming Planning and Community Development Department at (616)530 7266. We look forward to working with interested homeowners in improving their homes in the City of Wyoming.
