News

WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) -- It's the weekend car lovers have waited for all year. The 28th St. Metro Cruise kicks off Friday, showcasing thousands of classic cars.

Roger's Plaza is the hub for much of the action.

For more than a decade, this event has attracted car enthusiasts from all over to West Michigan. There will be thousands of cars on display.

The event has something for everyone. The cruise officially opened at 4 p.m., but there's a blood drive kicked off at 2 p.m. and goes to 6 p.m. There's also a workshop for ladies presented by Kandi "Blaze" Thompson, who's teaching some general maintenance and introducing attendees to some of an engine's main components. There's also music, a pin-up contest, food, and appearances by Pete Chapouris. Learn more about the event here.
