Pepper spray evacuates Lee HS

WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) - Lee High School was evacuated for a short time Wednesday after students and staff reported a strong odor inside the school.

Wyoming Police and Fire personnel responded just after 9:00am and found the school had already been evacuated. Investigators were able to determine that the smell was from pepper spray and was isolated to a small area of the school. The school was ventilated and students and staff returned to a normal school day.

There are no suspects at this time but police and school continue to investigate.
