Wyoming asking for feedback on Ideal Park plan
News

WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) - The plans have been created. Now the city of Wyoming wants to know what you think of the plans to rebuild Ideal Park.

The wooded park suffered heavy damage from a tornado in July of 2014. Most of the park's old trees were uprooted and destroyed.

The city has produced an online survey for residents and those who use the park for feedback to a proposed redevelopment plan for the park. To see the plan and take the survey, click here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/IdealParkMasterPlanSurvey

The proposed plan, designed by consultant PM Blough, Inc., incorporated ideas and feedback from neighborhood residents, school representatives and business leaders as well as input from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Kent County Drain Commission and City Parks and Recreation, Planning and Engineering representatives.

"We are committed to engaging the public at every step of this planning process," states Rebecca Rynbrandt, Director of Community Services in a press release. "Survey results will be shared with the Wyoming City Council on Feb. 9 when they consider the plan."
