Wyoming High School Dig Pink Surpasses Prior Fund-Raising Amounts

For the fourth consecutive year, Wyoming High School joined forces with the Side Out Foundation in the annual  “Dig Pink” campaign to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer.  Wyoming’s volleyball teams hosted Belding for the annual “Pink Out” game on October 17.

During and prior to the game, t-shirts were sold and donations were collected.  Godwin Hardware & Plumbing, Conrad Chiropractic, Meijer, Family Fare, Kenowa Credit Union, and JL Schwartz Insurance Agency provided business sponsorships as well.  Altogether, this year’s event raised just over $2,000 for the Side Out Foundation.  The grand total is the most that has ever been raised.  This year’s Dig Pink Ambassador, 10th grader Ashleigh Vigh, was extremely pleased with the results.  “Our students and teaching staff were very supportive this year so that really helped.”

Ashleigh is also looking forward to February when a similar event is held during the basketball season.
