WYOMING, Mich. (City of Wyoming) – The City of Wyoming will hold its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 26 at 7:00 pm at the Veteran’s Memorial Garden (2380 DeHoop SW).  
 
Simeon Switzer, Graduate Student Veteran at Grand Valley State University, and a veteran of a deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan, will be the guest speaker for the event, with his address entitled, “Selfless Sacrifice”. The Lee High School band will perform along with the Wyoming Department of Public Safety Honor Guard. Bronson Swan, a graduate of Lee High School and a veteran, as well, will perform taps. Mayor Jack Poll will host the ceremony.  
 
“The City of Wyoming understands the importance of recognizing those who have served, and continue to serve our country in the armed forces,” according to Rebecca Rynbrandt, Director of Community Services for the City of Wyoming. “Our Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day Ceremonies are a tribute to that service.”
