WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM) -- A Wyoming-area school has a new head of security tonight as its former security director faces criminal charges.
Jeff Wainwright will lead security operations at Godwin Heights High School..
Superintendent John Felske says the Godwin Heights school board hired DK Security to take over the district's safety operations. The Kentwood firm will use security guards already working at the school.
Godwin Heights' former head of security, Kenneth Franks, is charged with two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct for having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.
Franks' security company no longer has a contract with Godwin Heights.
